I’ve been working online full time for several years now. I started in 2003 trying different business models until I found a few that worked for me. (it is always a good idea to try several before you find one that works for you)
One thing I have been doing for almost 2 years now is helping local businesses and non-profit organizations set up their online presence. I’ve always loved the site design and the creation aspect of online marketing. When site design and inspiration come together it is ideal. Having a good working knowledge of WordPress, Internet Marketing and SEO works wonders at getting your clients site on page one of Google.
I usually get contacts by word of mouth and fortunately can be selective on who I take on as clients. I don’t consider this a full-time business, but something that I will do for a price to help a friend or local business get set up and running online.
I would think that if I really wanted to I could turn this into a full time business.
