We all know how huge Facebook is. Every day over 1 Billion active users are logging on to ‘hang out’ and see what their friends are up to….
Billions of active users ‘Like’ products, subjects or brands that interest them. Kindle is a good example with over 1.5 million ‘likes’.
A fan page or like page is like having your own little mini website displayed on Facebook where you can promote yourself, your business and your products to anyone who ‘likes’ your page.

How To Set Up Auto Pinging for Your Blog and Get Indexed Faster
When you are setting up a blog you want search engines to visit and index your site. Without any visitors your blog may as well be floating out in the deep blue ocean with only the wind and sun for company.
Pinging basically notifies the search engines that there is something new to index on your blog. If we use the ocean scenario; Pinging is like shooting flares into the sky on a stranded boat and having rescue teams from around the world swarm to your boat. Ok weird, but that is what pinging is… telling the bots where you are and that you have fresh stuff to index.
There is a place in your WordPress blog that allows you to enter some information and automatically ping the search engines. And, who doesn’t like Automatic?
